There are moments when the mission becomes more than just words. It becomes visible. Tangible. Life-changing.
That’s exactly what happened at this year’s AAMI HTM High School Discovery Day in New Orleans. This wasn’t just another event. This was about exposing students to the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) industry, many of them for the very first time. And what they saw? Was a field full of opportunity, innovation, and people ready to welcome them in.

The Power of Partnership, Planning with Purpose
This day didn’t happen by chance. It was the result of months of planning, long conversations, and an dedicated belief in the mission. It was led by Bryant Hawkins, CEO & Founder of Elevate HTM, and Danielle McGeary, VP of HTM at AAMI. Together, they built a vision and executed it with passion. From logistics to programming, from outreach to impact, they worked side by side to make sure Discovery Day wasn’t just meaningful, but unforgettable.
Hawkins, in particular, went the extra mile. He didn’t just talk about exposure. He created it. He put in the work, reaching out to local schools and personally securing the attendance of high school students, ensuring they had a seat at the table and a vision for their future.

TRIMEDX Didn't Just Sponsor, They Led by Example
Trimedx stepped up in a major way, not just by sponsoring the Discovery Day breakfast, but by showing students what true industry leadership looks like.
Rob Moorey, President of Clinical Engineering at TRIMEDX, didn’t send a spokesperson. He showed up personally. He stood in front of a room full of high school and college students and delivered a message straight from the heart:
“You’re not here by accident. This is a field that needs your voice, your talent, and your energy.”
But it didn’t stop at the podium. What happened next made the biggest impact.

Sitting With the Future
TRIMEDX leaders didn’t just attend the event, they sat with the students. Literally. Instead of standing off to the side or only networking with each other, they joined the students at their tables. Over breakfast, they listened to their stories, answered their questions, and shared their own HTM journeys.
It was mentorship in motion. That kind of proximity, that kind of personal attention? That’s what exposure looks like. And for those students, those conversations may be the spark that lights the fire for their future.
Exposure That Changes Trajectories
Throughout the event, students were introduced to:
What HTM professionals actually do
The role they play in keeping hospitals running
The career paths available, from Biomed Tech to Clinical Engineer
The real people behind the scenes who make it all happen
This was true exposure. Not a slideshow. Not a brochure.
It was face-to-face connection with professionals who look like them, talk like them and believe in them.
Why Elevate HTM Shows Up
This is exactly why Elevate HTM exists. To close the awareness gap. To bridge the distance between potential and opportunity. We’re not waiting for the next generation to figure it out. We’re putting the future of HTM in front of them, in classrooms, in conferences and in conversations that change lives.
A Seed Planted in Real Time
To be honest, you can’t measure this kind of impact in metrics. But you can see it in a student’s eyes when they light up. You can hear it in the questions they ask. You can feel it in the confidence they walk away with.
HTM Discovery Day wasn’t just informative. It was transformative. Let’s keep opening doors. Let’s keep changing narratives. Let’s keep elevating.
Unseen, But Unstoppable!

So proud of the work you do, the exposure you bring, and for SHOWING a bright future to these youngsters ... our future replacements. I see and appreciate you!
